About Multiphoton Montana
Montana State University Resource
Multiphoton Montana started in 2006 when Montana State University Professors Mikhail Drobizhev and Thomas Hughes began collaborating on characterizing the multiphoton absorption properties on a wide variety of fluorescent proteins. Since its inception, Multiphoton Montana characterized hundreds of fluorescent samples resulting in a series of publications. The scope has recently widened by the emerging technology of biocompatible chemical dyes which in addition to fluorescent proteins have tremendous potential to further a broad range research and diagnostics. Multiphoton Montana is currently funded under the BRAIN initiative at NIH and receives samples from international collaborators as well as across the country for characterization.
